Lacrosse Team Photos in Guelph

For my first blog post on our NEW EPIC SPORTrait website I thought it would be fitting to post an image from 15 year old Hannah Petty’s photo shoot. I first met this amazing young lady last winter at the Children’s Foundation Ball. Hannah was there speaking , in front of a hall full of very influential people, about the “Free to Play” program. And she did an incredible job.

Our family is a proud supporter of this amazing program and we are donating 10% of ALL PRINT SALES from these sports session to the Free to Play program.

So I asked Hannah’s mom Brenda to send me a little write up about this amazing young lady and this is what she sent.

Here’s to the girls

Who don’t wake up with perfect hair. Who don’t mind eating a Big Mac instead of salad. Who don’t wear 50 pounds of makeup. Who’d rather spend the day in sweatpants than skinny jeans. Who love the comfort of T-shirts. Who don’t get all the guys. Who aren’t “popular” but feel like it, when they’re with their friends. Who stick to sneakers instead of heels. Who aren’t afraid to break a nail. Who don’t always get their own way. Who don’t get everything they want. Who don’t need a guy to tell them that they are beautiful. Here’s to all the girls who are just

LIKE ME.

In addition to this, I can tell you that Hannah has faced great adversity in her life.  She as you know is a remarkable young lady who excels in her studies, leads in her school by example I might add.  She volunteers regularly in her community, she has a part time job to help with the level of sport that she has elevated herself to.  She loves playing with her younger siblings, and is an absolute please to know as a teenager( Which is incredible) on its own.  I take no credit for the amazing spirit and heart of kindness she posses, however my family feels the benefit of her light every day.

Last year she played for the bantam girls team Ontario. They flew to Alberta for Nationals and won Gold. This year she has been selected to play on The Centre Wellington Intermediate girls team. The intermediate age group is 17-21 Hannah Is the youngest girl on the team.

They have had two tournaments so far this year. They recently won 1st place at the London Girls Lacrosse tournament, They also won 1st place at the Fergus
Zone 8 Tournament.

I could go on and on about how Hannah has impacted my life, but in short she makes me want to be a better person and she is my inspiration.

So here is an image I made for Hannah in our studio. As you can see this is not your usual sports photo you get from the league. But something cool and edgy.
